"Brewed" with quality oils and a good malty stout, this soap gives a generous lather, and makes for an excellent shaving soap or shampoo bar.
The hops in beer give hair a natural shine, and its anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties help with dandruff. Fine oils, like olive oil and soybean oil work to condition hair, leaving it soft and smooth. Unlike store bought shampoos, this soap contains no nasty surfactants.
And don't worry about smelling like a drunk! This soap is scented naturally with cedarwood essential oil, which has antiseptic, fungicidal, and insecticidal properties.
Avg. weight: 120g
Ingredients: stout beer, lye, coconut oil, castor oil, extra virgin olive oil, soybean oil, vitamin E, cedarwood essential oil.
Directions for use:
- For hair - thoroughly wet hair and scalp. Rub soap with hands, or directly against hair, to work up a thick lather. Gently message into all areas of hair. Rinse. If necessary, follow up with your usual conditioner, or for a more natural approach, try an apple cider vinegar hair rinse (mixture of ½ to 4 tbsp of apple cider vinegar & 1 cup of water). Shampoo bars can take some getting used to. Try it for at least 2 weeks before deciding it's not for you.
- For shaving - stroke wet shaving brush against soap, in circular motions, to build up a thick lather. Apply lather onto face.
Storage: to prolong the life of the soap, place in a cool dry area, out of direct sunlight, between use.
Please note: as this soap is handmade, each bar is unique. There will be some variation in the weight and appearance of each bar.
