Both red wine and rose water are laden with vitamins and anti-oxidants. Red wine, which is rich in polyphenol, an antioxidant that is thought to be helpful in treating inflammation and sun damage, has been used in a modern spa treatment called "vinotherapy" (red wine baths). Rose water, meanwhile, has been in use for centuries for it's anti-wrinkle, anti-inflammatory, and antiseptic properties. Ottoman women toned their faces with it. Romans bathed, and washed their hands with it. They even used rose water to wash their clothes!
